한국이슬람교는 20일 홈페이지를 수도권의 모든 예배를 잠정중단하기로 결정했다고 밝혔다. 지난달 31일 청주에서 열렸던 대규모 집회를 의식해서 인지 발빠른 공문을 내렸다. 31일 집회는 우즈베키스탄 신도 약 340명이 참석한 집회로 이 날 집회에 6명의 확진자가 참석해 관계 당국을 긴장시켰지만 다행히 추가 확진자가 발생하지 않았다. 이번에는 한국이슬람교에서 수도권 사회적 거리두기 2단계 격상과 수도권 집합제한 명령 결정에 따라 모든 예배를 중단하는 공지를 내렸다. 아래 홈페이지 게시 전문이다.

Korean government has decided to ban all religious regular worship services in Seoul and the surrounding metropolitan areas starting Wednesday(Aug, 19) to prevent any further spread of COVID-19. In this regard Korea Muslim Federation has decided to temporary close the Seoul Central Masjid and Masjids in Gyeonggi Province and Incheon area for Friday prayer and all congregational prayers & activities in order to prevent the spread of ‘COVID-19’ outbreak until further notice.
